We have been working very hard on the website. I have been working on the overdyed threads. Gentle Art Sampler threads are complete....even the new colors. The pictures show the colors as true as possible.

Weeks Dye Works is almost finished. The new colors have to be added and then they will be complete.

Crescent Colours are all listed and I'm adding pictures as quick as I can.

Hope you enjoy the shopping pleasure. They are truly 'eye candy' to me.

Little House Needleworks

Three new charts from Little House Needleworks are being released this week. First we have the latest ornament, Deck The Halls.

Liberty reminds me of penny rug designs....and I love penny rugs.

Thirteen Colonies....what can I say. Diane says it's her largest design and I say it is surely one of my favorites. As you can see, the center of the design is solidly stitched. This may pose a tension challenge for those who stitch in-hand. I suggest using a hoop, stretcher bars, or q-snap for this section. It will help to keep your stitches from getting too tight. This is a definite stitch for me.

JBW Designs Nashville Releases

Judy has just released 6 great little charts. I love this format. It's just the right size to put in my purse and go.

Each one of these designs could be personalized with names and dates. The baby designs could be cute quick samplers or done for a special holiday.

I think the Scottie is just perfect for all the dog lovers among us.

I am always asked for a suggestion for someone's anniversary. " I need something different and quick. And I want to put their names and the dates of marriage and now." I have always needed to suggest different designs for the 25th and 50th anniversaries. Would'n Wedding Bells be a perfect fit for that need.

Hello Stitchers!

Let me please take a moment to thank everyone for their well wishes for me and my husband. He is doing much better and we hope when he sees the doctor on the 29th of this month that he will be released from their care. It's been a long long winter...between the weather and his being hospitalized. We sure are looking forward to SPRING!!!

But my main thought on blogging today is all the new and exciting charts that have been arriving. Many are here already and more will be here by the end of the month. Nashville Market is this weekend and the poor UPS drivers will be very busy next week.

I'm adding pictures as fast as I can to the blog and then to the website. I'll be at it all weekend so please check back often.

Shop will be closed due to...

Just a note to explain that the shop will be closed today, Feb 2nd. We had to rush my husband to hospital last night and he will be having surgery this morning. Hope all goes well and I'll be back in tomorrow. I'll let you know later today. Thanks for your understanding.

Where did January go ???

Just how far behind can a few snow storms and a respitory infection put you? Let me tell you I feel like I'm still in last year.

I know from emails and electronic invoices that many new items will be waiting for me when I get to the shop tomorrow. The new Blackbird Design chart is there. The new Little House Needleworks and Country Cottage Needleworks charts are there. Also Lizzie Kate charts will be there.

Before I got sick, I placed a huge order with Gentle Art and that will be there. So if you need Gentle Art Threads....The Cranberry Cupboard is the place to go!

I also placed a large order with Hoffman Distributing and for the life of me, I can't remember all that I ordered.....it's going to be like Christmas morning when I get to the shop tomorrow.

VERY IMPORTANT....We are still having our in-shop "Bowl Week Sale" this week. They are calling for bad weather for Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning but if I can get on the road, I will be there. Check here on Tuesday and I will post if I cannot get to the shop. If the weather becomes a problem, we just might have to extend the sale for another couple of days...I'll let you know later this week.

This is an 'in-shop' sale but those online customers can email your requests and if we have it, you will receive to the 20% discount.

I will scan the new items and update tomorrow and all week. Til then keep safe and virus free...

Fingers quicker than brain

So sorry, the photos that I posted of the adorable snowmen and the beautiful sampler are from AuryTM.

I hit the post key just as I realized that I hadn't told you her name. She has other designs that we will be ordering very soon.

Here is a new designer that I have found. I think these snowmen are adorable.

I first saw her Heritage Sampler in the fall and couldn't wait to bring it into the shop. I've added a picture of it also.

Another new designer is Bonnie Woomer of The Nebby Needle. I am in the process of ordering her designs. Another talented designer to stitch!

Lizzie Kate will be sending us new designs in the next few weeks. Also Blackbird Designs has a new release coming in early January. New designs will be coming as the Nashville Market is in early February.

As the new year approaches, we are all making plans for the coming months. I have made a few for The Cranberry Cupboard. In the new year, plan to be more active with this blog. Updates will appear weekly. The Cranberry Cupboard.com will be expanded with more of the thread lines and accessories that we carry.

We will be adding coupons, and announcing our sale events here. We appreciate your business and are very happy when we can do something for our valued customers.

We have had Stitch-a-longs (SAL's) here in the shop and everyone has enjoyed them. With the speed of the internet, I would like to try one there. We can keep fellow stitchers informed by posting photos of our work in progress. I always like to see others needlework. Don't you?

Great News from Carriage House Samplings

Just had to jump in and let you know the good news!

Those of us who were fans of Carriage House Samplings were very saddened when Kathy decided to retire from designing.

Kathy announced yesterday that her younger sister ,Marty, would be taking over CHS effective December 1,2010. Currently, she is Art Director for The Washington Post.

Marty is very interested in continuing the Hawk Run Hollow Series. YAH!!!

I was just visiting LizzieKate website. They are mailing our autos this week and I needed to add a few extra charts to the order. And...on their front page they mentioned their daughter Alison ..."Kate" to us.

She has a food website called http://www.gimmesomeoven.com/. Of course, I had to look. Oh my! I have got to make some of her apple receipes. Pictured is her Apple Bacon Spinach salad.

That looks soooo good!

I didn't want to let this go by with all the fresh apples available right now.

Hustle and Bustle of February

February is always and exciting month in the world of cross stitch. The designers are all geared up for the Nashville Market and WOW! this years is no different. I will be posting the new items for quite a while.

Many have designs that are 'monthlies' that will continue through the year. All very enticing. Designers have coupled with thread distributors to make shopping easier. Some have even included the buttons/charms with the chart.

This year, we are very glad to have a way of expressing our thanks to Kris Stott for all that she meant to this industry and to each of us who relied on her guidance. Designers have come up with so many designs that they have been put into themes. This first release is now available. Norden Crafts, owned by Kris and her husband Dave, are donating the profits to Kris's other passion....animals. Much needed assistance for animals will be given by Norden Crafts in Kris's name. At last count, more than sixty-five designers have contributed designs and some wonderful memories of Kris. Ask to see 'Kris's Stitches' ......
